Silk painting Art Party

Please ignore much of the below. It’s the standard art party lingo. Please just add the amount of people that will be attending to the basket, check out and we are good to go.

We will be spending Sunday afternoon 15 June from 1:30-3:30 drawing our design. And then transferring our design to silk, onto the frames, with gold liner and silk paint once the liner is dry.

We can decide on a theme ahead of time. Previously we’ve had hummingbirds, chameleons, toucans, robins, owls, St Paul’s Cathedral, butterflies, Stitch etc.

Please scroll through the images above for examples of what we have done before. The brighter and the more vibrant, the better for silk painting.

We try to pick thing/bird/animal were we can use a lot of bright colours or sections, rather than a solid piece. For example- an elephant is one solid piece whereas a chameleon is quite bright with lots of sections in his body’s.
All materials and aprons will be provided. Plenty of breaks between creating our final masterpieces. These silk paintings can be framed in a 40 x 40 cm frame. They will come home in a 40 x 40cm white card frame. A lot of families then choose to order a 40 x 40 cm frame from Amazon, or get it framed professionally.

Please send me a list ahead of time with songs that your child likes, so I can prepare a playlist on Spotify. Typically, these are songs from Matilda, Moana, Taylor Swift etc. 🙂

Food and drink - welcome to bring your own food and drink. It can include ice lollies / pizza as you can keep them cold in my freezer /bake them in the oven.

The cost is £22 per child/person. Please add how many children would like to attend to the ‘shopping bag’. Welcome to check out half of the children now, and then check out the other half closer to the time, when you are sure of the numbers.

Suitable for children aged 5-13 years (as a guide).
