Heidi’s Silk painting Art Party

Please have a look at the examples of themes and designs children have chosen at previous classes. Please let me know which one you like, or a different idea? Perhaps a different bird , fish or animal? It works quite well to have something with lots of vibrant colours as the main theme, and a plain or gradient background with a little bit of detail in the background.

I will provide all the aprons and equipment - silk frames, gold gutta liner, silk paint, sketching tools etc.

We will have two food/movement breaks in the party. The first will be after 50 minutes or so. We will then have a 15 minute break. (I will dry the gold gutta on the silk in the time, ready for the second part.) We will have another food/movement break the last 20 minutes. In this time I will dry the entire frames and get them ready to take home.

Please feel free to plan/bring any cake or party food.

Please send me a list ahead of time with songs that your child likes, so I can prepare a playlist on Spotify. Typically, these are songs from Disney, Matilda, Moana, Taylor Swift, K Pop demon hunters etc. 🙂

The cost is £22 per child. Please add how many children would like to attend to the ‘shopping bag’. Welcome to check out half of the children now, and then check out the other half closer to the time, when you are sure of the final numbers.

Suitable for children aged 5-13 years (as a guide).
